Fines Migration in Sandstones

I am a PhD student researching alternative methods of looking at fines migrations in sandstones. It has long been known what factors may affect the movement of fines in a sandstone pore network, but what might initiate and propagate this movement is a more interesting problem. My work focuses on the role wettability of surfaces may have on the movement of fines in a pore network, and I aim to look at this using 3D printed models.
